Adopt Dad a Newt for Father's Day
The Northmoor Trust, the charity that owns the Wittenham Clumps, is giving you the chance to get Dad something unique and worthwhile this year for Father’s Day, on Sunday 15th June.
*Sorry, the last day for guarenteed delivery before Father's Day was 11th June*

Show Dad how much you care
"Adopting a newt not only shows how much you care for your Dad, it's also an opportunity to show them how much you care about wildlife in Oxfordshire” says Ben Earl, Director of Fundraising from the Trust.
“The Great Crested Newt is the largest and rarest of Britain's three newt species. Due to habitat loss, Great Crested Newt populations are declining in many areas and the species is now endangered.
Monitoring Great Crested Newts
On the Northmoor Trust Estate at Little Wittenham we’re lucky enough to have the perfect habitat for these little creatures and have around 3,000 Great Crested Newts. Our ponds have ‘newt friendly’ traps installed to capture newts moving to and from ponds allowing us to monitor the population and track movements.“
Money raised from the adoption scheme is spent on protecting the fragile habitats around the Northmoor Trust Estate and monitoring the Great Crested Newt population.
What will the newt's 'new Dad' receive?
Newt adoptions are just £20, and each adoption pack contains a personalised certificate, newt photo, Clumps card, fact sheet about the Northmoor Trust’s Estate and a ‘2 for 1’ voucher to the Trust’s visitor attraction, Project Timescape. Download the adoption form
