Energy Busters Bust Oxfordshire!
Special experts called the 'Energy Busters' are ready to visit schools free of charge to run assemblies and workshops for youngsters of all ages.
The Energy Busters are run by the Northmoor Trust on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council.
Project Officer Janet Payne said: "We're just waiting for the call from schools. I know that our services will be in demand because schools in Oxfordshire have already shown how keen they are to be environmentally friendly. They have worked very closely with the county council to bring their carbon footprints down and they have a terrific track record.”
Councillor Roger Belson, Oxfordshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Sustainable Development, added: "Quite apart from the wonderful environmental benefits, schools can cut their costs by learning to monitor, record and save energy. There are also real educational benefits to be reaped."
