Opening Times
Project Timescape is now open most Sundays from 10am - 5pm.

Ticket Cost
Adults £4.50 or £5 with Gift Aid
Children £2.75
Family £12 or £13.60 with Gift Aid


Through interactive exhibits, visitors to Project Timescape will be able to:

  • experience life in the past through hands-on activities
  • handle Iron Age, Roman and Victorian artefacts
  • get face-to-face with real Iron Age and Roman skeletons
  • become an ecologist, explore the Northmoor Trust Estate and learn about the changing landscape.

    We are working with Past Forward of York as design consultants for Project Timescape.

    Past Forward have developed virtual reality reconstructions of key landscape periods. Project Timescape exhibits also look at the history of landscape, allowing adults and children to visualise how their lifestyles could change the landscape of the future.
