How can the Wild Waste Show help your school?
Drayton School
Drayton School wanted to see how successful their current recycling scheme was. They asked the Wild Waste Show in to support pupils and staff as they carried out a waste audit. They divide the contents of the schools bins into recyclables and non-recyclables to see how much more they could do.
Pupils and teachers at Drayton School get stuck into their rubbish to complete a waste audit.
Wheatley Park School
Wheatley Park School decided to launch their recycling scheme in style with a whole week dedicated to raising awareness of the need for recycling. Every year group had an assembly delivered by the Wild Waste Show and our converted 7.5 tonne lorry was bought in for the year 7’s as they learnt about the problems surrounding waste.
Wallingford School
Wallingford School invited the Wild Waste Show in to run a drop in recycling paper making session over lunchtime. Pupils placed pictures and words, cut from old magazines, into the paper to create posters around reduce, reuse and recycle.
Bartholomew School
After having had assemblies run by the Wild Waste Show for all the year groups, Bartholomew School invited us back to talk to the ‘environment’ group of the school council. We helped them think about what type of projects they would like to work towards in their aim to gain the Eco-schools silver award and how we could help support them.
