Countryside Stewardship
This innovative course gives 14-16 year old students an understanding of the countryside and encourages a positive attitude to conservation.
Practical work in real situations equip students with skills for work. The highest level of the course is compared to Grade C at GCSE. The course also encourages integration with students who have learning and behavioural difficulties.
Oxfordshire Rural Education Initiative
This initiative is funded and supported by farmers, landowners, farming organisations and District Councils. This partnership believes that all children should understand and know more about the role farmers have in providing food and managing the countryside.
This free service can provide information and arrange school visits to local farms.
Walks and Events
Clumps Club, May Day Celebrations and Lambing Weekends are just some of our events promoting countryside and wildlife conservation.
Members of the education team give talks to a variety of local organisations including WI's and Rotary groups.
Forest Schools
In an age when many children have few opportunities to be outdoors, Forest Schools offers them a way to learn and experience a full curriculum in a woodland environment.
