Ecology

Ecology is all about fragile natural balances and the delicate relationships between organisms. As such, it demands a sensitive approach.

Collaborative Projects

The task of safeguarding our environment for the future calls for effective partnership working. The more coordinated our response to environmental threats, the more we can accomplish.

The more we know about the environment, the more we can do to protect it.

At the Northmoor Trust we set great store by incisive, innovative ecological research. Our staff, volunteers and associated research students, have a broad spectrum of experience and expertise between them. Owing to this skill base, the Trust is able to pursue a varied and exciting research programme.

Besides influencing the way we manage our own estate, our research is made available to others in a variety of ways. We are always keen to work with interested local groups, delivering talks and helping out with conservation projects. On a slightly more formal level, the Trust’s advisory services are in frequent demand, and we are always ready to collaborate with other organisations and individuals on external projects. We also take part in national data recording schemes and raise the profile of the Trust by contributing to newspapers, magazines and TV programmes.
