The first really wet day we have had. An amazing record for this time of year. Brightened later allowing the building to be finished on schedule. An absolutely fantastic effort by every single person involved with the project. Many had left the site by the time the final photos were taken but they were with us in spirit. A thousand thanks to you all. We will miss your wonderful company.

Rain threatened but never came so we had a cloudy but calm day to pack in the work to raise the frame by early evening.
Celebrations went on into the early hours.

A grey day and cooler but with less wind; pretty much ideal for working with large sections on a crane. Good progress was made on getting the larger wall sections into position and securing to the tower. An evening trip to Great Coxwell, for those that missed the earlier visit was popular.

A fantastic day. Beautiful weather for the start of the raising. The crane arrived bright and early and work began to complete the tower assembly. After a lot of seamless teamwork, the tower was lifted up mid afternoon. A flawless lift and several people on-site can now breathe more easily.

Cooler conditions prevail but the wind causes some problems. The reception tent blew down and there were a few anxious moments with the other tents.

A big day with the Northmoor Trust having their Open Day on the Nature Reserve. During a two hour period over lunch, our cutting site was open to the public to see what all the fuss is about. They seemed impressed.

The off-cut pile is growing fast so something must be happening. Some sections are being tried for fit and adjustments made if necessary. Punting on the Cherwell rounded off the day.

Still fine and very hot on the cutting site. A visit to the Medieval splendour of Great Coxwell Barn and a fascinating presentation on the archaeology of the Wittenham Clumps made for a memorable day.
