2010 Northmoor Trust One Day Bushcraft Skills Courses

*NEW FOR 2010* Learn to survive in the wild!

Our exciting new series of courses led by bushcraft expert, Nick Smart, will teach you the skills you need to build your own shelter, gather and cook your own supper over an open fire and learn more about the medicinal uses of trees and plants.

Our new courses are a perfect way to get away from the stresses and strains of modern life and reconnect with the natural world.

All courses will take place on the Northmoor Trust’s beautiful estate at the Wittenham Clumps, Little Wittenham in South Oxfordshire. To book your place please call 01865 407792 Adults £75, Friends £60.

One Day Wilderness Cooking Course
Sunday 19th September: 10am – 4pm
A day learning bush cooking techniques from around the world. We will teach you how to prepare and light a fire using fire by friction (bow drill). You will also learn different fire lays and fire maintenance, prepare vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, game, bread and bannock and show you an incredible range of ways to cook them in the outdoors using improvised cooking methods and utensils. You will also learn about wild foods/plants and teas/tisanes. A fantastic fun day and you go home with a full belly! No packed lunch is required for this course. Food is included in the price.
