Forestry Research Partnerships

The Northmoor Trust works closely with other research organisations. Many Students use our unique resource of Paradise Wood to carry out their Bachelor or Masters dissertations.

Jennifer Peters did her Masters dissertation on the effect of exotic oak phenotypes on an associated community of herbivorous insects, using our oak breeding seedling orchard.

This work was undertaken in collaboration with the University of York and the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, Wallingford.

Nick Evans also used our oak breeding seedling orchard and 3 others located in Scotland, Suffolk and Worcestershire to assess, develop and protocol for assessing silvicultural forms in oak as his Masters from Imperial College, Wye.
