New Eco Garden at Hill Farm

Volunteers create new gardens for wildlife

Local school groups and Northmoor Trust volunteers have helped to create new ecological gardens around the Trust’s offices at Hill Farm. The garden will provide new habitats and sources of food for visiting wildlife.

Over time, the grounds will grow and change as plant communities become established and the garden responds to use. This demonstration site will provide space for wildlife and a new resource for volunteers, staff and visitors to Hill Farm.

The new areas of planting have encouraged skill-building, increased knowledge and will offer connections through the management of the garden. The planting itself will provide new habitats and food for insects and birds.

Huge thanks to all our volunteers that helped with the planting in the cold and wet January weather!
