Raymond Blanc, OBE, is acknowledged as one of the finest chefs in the world. He has been credited with fostering a change in the nation's eating habits. He recently fronted two series of The Restaurant on BBC2.

His hotel and restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons has held two Michelin stars for over 20 years.


Sophie GrigsonSophie Grigson - Patron
Sophie has a natural ability to teach cookery in an informal and friendly way. Her TV career began in 1993 with the award winning Grow Your Greens, Eat Your Greens.

She regularly contributes recipes and columns for national newspapers.

Her latest book, The Vegetable Bible will be published in Spring 2009.

Amanda Grant is a broadcaster, mother of three young children and food writer who specialises in teaching children about where food comes from and how to cook. She is passionate about inspiring families to cook and eat together more often. She has written several books on baby and toddler nutrition, as well as Healthy Lunchboxes for Kids and Kids’ Kitchen.

Annabel Karmel MBE has written 18 books on baby and children’s food and nutrition, selling over 3 million copies worldwide.

Alex Mackay is a cookery teacher and writer. He was the Guild of Food Writers’ Cookery Journalist of the Year in 2006.

His book, Cooking in Provence, won the World Cookbook Award. He teaches Delia Smith’s Food and Wine Workshops at Norwich City Football Club, is a regular on Ready Steady Cook, proud father of two and a patron of the Kids Cookery School.

Manju Malhi has her own unique 'Brit-Indi' style of Indian cuisine. She demonstrated British cuisine to an Indian audience in the 40 part series Cooking Isn’t Rocket Science on Indian TV.
Her books include: Brit Spice, India with Passion and The Easy Indian Cookbook. Manju’s approach to cooking is to encourage everyone to experiment more with spices.

Nora shot to fame as Jamie Oliver’s right-hand woman on Jamie’s School Dinners campaigning to improve the nutritional value of school dinners.

Her first cookbook Nora’s Dinners is aimed at 7-12 year olds. Nora still works at Kidbrooke School serving around 600 kids each day, where she serves fresh, homemade food.

Sam Stern, the Teenage Chef, is on a mission to get young people cooking. At 13, he wrote his bestselling first book ‘Cooking Up A Storm’.

He is now 18 and has published three more Real Food Real Fast, Get Cookingand Sam Stern’s Student Cookbook. He lives in Yorkshire with his family.
